David A. Lewis was born in 1966 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. David earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University - James Madison College in 1988 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from University of Detroit School of Law in 1991. David practiced law in the Detroit area before returning to Kalamazoo in 1994. He worked with the law firm of Gemrich, Moser, Bowser & Graham from 1994 until July of 2001 when he joined Reed Stover, P.C. In January, 2003, the law firms of Reed Stover P.C. and Lewis Allen P.C. combined to form Lewis Reed & Allen P.C.

David's legal experience covers many areas including litigation, corporate/business and employment matters, real estate, estate planning, municipal law and personal injury work. He now focuses primarily on litigation in a variety of areas including business/commercial litigation, employment matters, personal injury, and general civil litigation.

David is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and the Kalamazoo and Oakland County Bar Associations. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Kalamazoo County Bar Association since May 2003, and is currently the Vice President. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court - Eastern District of Michigan, U.S. District Court - Western District of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals - 6th Circuit.

David served on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan - Southwest Michigan Chapter from 1997 to 2001 and chaired the Nominating and Board Development Committee. David also enjoys coaching in the Milwood Little Leagues and AYSO soccer League.
