William A. Redmond is a native of Kalamazoo. He was born in 1951 and resided in Kalamazoo until his graduation from Western Michigan University in 1973. Bill received his law degree from Wayne State University in 1976 and then returned to Kalamazoo to practice law.

Bill’s practice is litigation, primarily in domestic relations, juvenile law, civil litigation and criminal law. Bill has served as a Mediator/Arbitrator in both State and Federal Courts in the areas of domestic relations and civil litigation. He has been appointed to mediate well over two-hundred issues.

Bill is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Kalamazoo County Bar Association.

Bill has been actively involved in community activities including professional organizations, non-profit boards, religious Boards and athletics. He is a past President of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association (1994-1995), Board Chair of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Michigan (2002-2004). Bill served as Chair of the Familiy Law Section of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association (2002-2005). Formerly, he was a member of the American Cancer Society Board of Directors. He has served on the U.S. Magistrate Selection Committee on two separate occasions. Currently, Bill is Vice President of Goodwill Industries of Southwest Michigan.

Bill has served as a member of the St. Catherine of Sienna Parish Council and Chair of the Parish Finance Committee. He has also volunteered as a member of the Hackett Catholic Central School Board. He has enjoyed coaching his daughters in the West Portage Little League, Portage Bantam Basketball, Portage Soccer Club and AYSO Soccer. Bill is married and has two grown daughters and one son at home.
