OVERVIEW
Staci L. Salisbury joined the firm as a shareholder in 2023. Staci is a 2006 graduate of Western Michigan University and a 2012 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She is admitted to practice law in the courts of the State of Michigan, the United States Federal District Courts, and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. She primarily focuses her practice on business transactions, creditor’s rights, estate planning, probate, and litigation.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University, Staci moved to Chicago, Illinois to work at an international law firm. Making the decision to become an attorney, she moved back to Michigan to complete her Juris Doctorate. While completing her degree, Staci continued to work full-time as a paralegal at a local Kalamazoo law firm specializing in creditor’s rights.
While attending law school, Staci focused her elective courses in international law and estate planning. Staci was awarded the Certificate of Merit in estate planning and also chosen as a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. In her final term, Staci clerked for the Honorable Mary Ellen Coghlan, Chief Judge of the Cook County Circuit Court, Probate Division, in Chicago, Illinois.
After earning her Juris Doctorate, Staci continued to provide legal services in the areas of creditor’s rights, estate planning and probate. In 2017, Staci co-founded Escamilla & Salisbury, PLLC which specialized in business transactions, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, real estate, estate planning and probate.
Beyond the practice of law, Staci is an advocate for the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network and a devoted University of Michigan fan. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering within her community, traveling, and spending time with her family.
